Finance

The Finance department has specific mandates of revenue mobilization and collection, Financial accounting and reporting and assets management. The functions of the Finance Department has been enhanced through the use of Programme Budgeting System (PBS) for departmental compilation and submission of quarterly performance reports, Budget Framework Papers, District Budgets, Development Plans and Work Plans to the Budget Desk for subsequent submission to Ministry of Finance, planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) and installation of Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) for timely access to information about grants and the sources, improved efficiency, transparency, accountability and, enhanced visibility of taxation requirements, effective and efficient decision making, improved budgeting and streamlined revenue management, compliance with reporting, and automated accounting processes. The Department of Finance is headed by the Chief Finance Officer - Mr. Lworo Labongo Okako. Other staff include; District Accountant - Mr.Okot Franklin and Finance Officer - Mr. Peko Phillip.
